Περιγραφή: Χηλικός σίδηρος με τη βιοτρονική μέθοδο χηλικοποίησης. Κάθε δόση (2 ταμπλέτες) παρέχει 40 mg στοιχειακού σιδήρου, που αντιστοιχούν σε 400 mg χηλικού σιδήρου.

Προϊόν κατάλληλο για φυτοφάγους. Απαλλαγμένο από τα κοινά αλλεργιογόνα μαγιά, σιτάρι και γάλα.

Συνήθης χρήση: Δύο ταμπλέτες την ημέρα.

Ιδιότητες του σιδήρου:

• O σίδηρος λαμβάνει μέρος σε ζωτικότατες βιολογικές λειτουργίες του σώματος μας. Βρίσκεται κατά 70% περίπου στην αιμοσφαιρίνη, το συστατικό που δίνει το κόκκινο χρώμα στα ερυθρά αιμοσφαίρια και που έχει τον εξαιρετικό ρόλο μεταφοράς του οξυγόνου από τους πνεύμονες προς όλα τα σημεία του σώματος.
• Ένα 5% της παραπάνω ποσότητας βρίσκεται στην μυοαιμοσφαιρίνη, μια ένωση που μεταφέρει και αποθηκεύει οξυγόνο στους μυς. Η μυοαιμοσφαιρίνη έχει αυξημένο ρόλο όταν οι μυς εργάζονται σκληρά.
• O σίδηρος είναι απαραίτητος για την λειτουργία του ανοσοποιητικού συστήματος καθώς και για τη δράση πολλών ενζύμων που παίρνουν μέρος στην διαδικασία παραγωγής ενέργειας.
• Η ανεπαρκής ποσότητα σιδήρου μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε αναιμία και να στερήσει τους ιστούς του σώματός μας από επαρκή ποσότητα οξυγόνου. Συμπτώματα μιας τέτοιας κατάστασης είναι συνήθως η χλωμότητα, η κόπωση, η ευερεθιστότητα, η ταχυκαρδία μετά από ελαφριά σωματική άσκηση, η ευαισθησία στο κρύο, η μείωση ικανότητας συγκέντρωσης. Θα πρέπει να επισημάνουμε, πάντως, ότι και η ανεπάρκεια βιταμίνης Β-12 ή και φολικού οξέος μπορούν να οδηγήσουν σε αναιμία (μεγαλοβλαστική αναιμία).
• Άλλα συμπτώματα ανεπάρκειας σιδήρου μπορεί να σχετίζονται με τη μειωμένη λειτουργικότητα του ανοσοποιητικού συστήματος και περιλαμβάνουν μειωμένο αριθμό λευκών αιμοσφαιρίων, μειωμένη παραγωγή αντισωμάτων, μειωμένη αντίσταση στις λοιμώξεις.
• Πρόσφατες έρευνες έχουν δώσει ενδείξεις και για άλλα συμπτώματα ανεπάρκειας, όπως τάση για αυξημένη κατανάλωση αλατιού, αυξημένη συγκέντρωση λίπους στο συκώτι και στο αίμα, γωνιακή χείλωση (φλεγμονές στις γωνίες του στόματος).
• Η ανεπάρκεια σιδήρου είναι αρκετά διαδεδομένη σε όλες τη πληθυσμιακές ομάδες, ιδιαίτερα όμως στις γυναίκες γόνιμης ηλικίας και στις έγκυες. Αυξημένους επίσης κινδύνους ανεπάρκειας σιδήρου διατρέχουν τα άτομα που παρουσιάζουν αιμορραγίες, όπως αιμορραγίες στομάχου και αιμορροΐδων.Σαν αποθήκες σιδήρου στο σώμα μας λειτουργούν το συκώτι, ο σπλήνας, ο μυελός των οστών και οι μυς.

ΑΝΤΕΝΔΕΙΞΕΙΣ - ΠΡOΦΥΛΑΞΕΙΣ

• Η τοξικότητα από σίδηρο σε ενήλικες είναι σχετικά σπάνια, γιατί η απορρόφηση σιδήρου ρυθμίζεται από το έντερο, ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες του οργανισμού. Hμερήσιες δοσολογίες έως 75-85 mg δεν αναμένεται να έχουν παρενέργειες. Υψηλότερες δοσολογίες θα πρέπει να λαμβάνονται με συμβουλή ιατρού.
• Είναι γενικά καλύτερα ο σίδηρος που λαμβάνουμε συμπληρωματικά να προέρχεται από πολυμεταλλικά-πολυβιταμινικά συμπληρώματα, παρά από συμπληρώματα μεμονωμένου σιδήρου. Σε άτομα με αυξημένη ανάγκη αντιοξειδωτικής προστασίας συνιστάται η ταυτόχρονη λήψη αντιοξειδωτικων ουσιών, γιατί ο σίδηρος όταν ιονίζεται (Fe2, Fe3), αποκτά οξειδωτικές ιδιότητες.
• Άτομα που υποφέρουν από τη γενετική πάθηση αιμοχρωμάτωση θα πρέπει να αποφεύγουν συμπληρώματα σιδήρου ή τροφές πλούσιες σε σίδηρο ή να μαγειρεύουν σε σκεύη από σίδηρο ή μαντέμι, καθώς τα σκεύη αυτά μπορούν να αυξήσουν πάρα πολύ τα επίπεδα σιδήρου στο μαγειρευόμενο φαγητό.
• Άλλα άτομα στα οποία αντενδείκνυται η λήψη σιδήρου είναι εκείνα που υποφέρουν από οξεία ηπατίτιδα, από αιμοσιδήρωση (πάθηση παραπλήσια της αιμοχρωμάτωσης), από αιμολυτική αναιμία, καθώς και άτομα που κάνουν συχνές μεταγγίσεις αίματος.
• Τα συμπληρώματα διατροφής και τα φάρμακα που περιέχουν σίδηρο θα πρέπει να φυλάσσονται με επιμέλεια μακριά από παιδιά, ιδίως τα μικρότερα, καθώς υψηλές δόσεις σιδήρου μπορούν να προκαλέσουν ακόμα και το θάνατο σε παιδιά ηλικίας κάτω των 6.

Delivery

1. Unless the parties agreed otherwise on the time of delivery, the trader delivers the goods by transferring the physical possession or control of the goods to the consumer without undue delay, but not later than 30 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract.

2. Where the trader has failed to fulfill his obligation to deliver the goods at the time agreed upon with the consumer or within the time limit set out in paragraph 1, the consumer shall call upon him to make the delivery within and additional period of time appropriate to the circumstances. If the trader fails to deliver the goods within the additional period of time, the consumer is entitled to terminate the contract.

The first subparagraph shall not be applicable to sales contracts where the trader has refused to deliver the goods or if the delivery within the agreed delivery period is essential, taking into account all the circumstances attending the conclusion of the contract, or where the consumer informs the trader prior to the conclusion of the contract, that delivery by or on a certain date is essential. In these cases, if the supplier fails to deliver the goods at the time agreed upon with the consumer or within the period specified above, the consumer is entitled to terminate the contract immediately.

3. Upon termination of the contract, the trader shall, without undue delay, reimburse all sums paid under the contract.

4. Termination of paragraph 2 shall be without prejudice to any legal rights of the consumer in the general provisions.


Fees for the use of payment instruments

It is forbidden to the trader to charge consumers for using a particular payment instrument, fees that exceed the cost of using this instrument by himself.


Passing of risk

In contracts where the trader dispatches the goods to the consumer, the risk of loss or damage to the goods shall pass to the consumer when he or a third party indicated by the consumer and other than the carrier has acquired the physical possession of the goods. However, the risk shall pass to the consumer upon delivery to the carrier if the carrier was commissioned by the consumer to carry the goods and that choice was not offered by the trader, without prejudice to the rights of the consumer against the carrier.
